Steve is my Dad, my Hero - I love him and miss him. x
He may not have been my Dad by blood, but he became my Dad through heart. Steve Perkins came into my family's lives in the early 90s. From the first day I met him as a 9-year-old, he treated me as if i was his own son. We had a personal bond based around mutual respect and our love of football! I will always love him and miss him because he was the best Dad in the world, even though technically he is my Step-Dad. That was the great thing about him though, he didn't have to accept me along with my Mother's love, but he did with open arms and for that reason he will always be so much more than my Dad - he's my Hero.

I was watching some old Walsall footage on Youtube today! Remember when we beat the Baggies 4-1 when Paul Merson joined us from Portsmouth? Those were the days eh? Had to stop watching after a bit because then i thought of being with you at that stadium and i got upset. I miss those times Boss-man. x

Hiya Steve.
This is something i should've done a long time ago. I wanted to create my own personal tribute to you for two reasons - To help me with my own grief and to show to world how special you are to me. I'm not going to talk about you in the past-tense if i can help it because i know you're still with me. I miss our long chats about the football, i miss going down to the Bescot with you to watch the Saddlers, i miss shaking your hand everytime we greeted each other, i miss your laughter, but most of all i just miss you. I only hope i can do you some justice on this site, because you'll always be a Hero to me. x
